About The Role
We are seeking an Engineering Geologist / Experienced Engineering Geologist to join our Geotech & Tunnels team in Sydney / Melbourne. This role offers the prospect to apply your technical expertise and project management skills across projects of varying complexity while working within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Accountabilities
* Deliver engineering geology analysis and design tasks in accordance with technical standards and client requirements
* Plan and execute projects of moderate complexity, ensuring quality and timely delivery
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contributors to ensure coordination across project deliverables
* Prepare technical reports, documentation, and proposals for small to medium-sized projects
* Manage project scope, risks, and competing priorities effectively
* Contribute to the commercial success of projects and the broader team
* Apply sound project management principles to achieve deliverables on time and to the required standard
* Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Geology, or a related Geo Science discipline
* Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering geology, ideally within an Engineering Consultancy
* Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and specifications
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Experience preparing technical reports and proposals
* Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information clearly
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach
* Client-focused mindset with the ability to manage expectations effectively
* Proficiency in relevant software and general computer applications
* Understanding of organisational capability and ability to leverage internal expertise
