About The Role
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Outage Planner / Scheduler to develop, plan, schedule, and coordinate outage operations and maintenance activities for a key power generation facility. This role requires strong technical knowledge, organisational skills, and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate major maintenance and outage activities
* Manage tender and quote processes and support contract award processes
* Develop work scopes, schedules, and budgets for internal and external maintenance work
* Coordinate resources, logistics, and contractors across multiple sites
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
* Share technical knowledge and collaborate with peers, operations, and engineering teams
* Manage service contracts and assist with strategic spares management
Skills and Experience Required
* Trade certificate or relevant qualifications in generation or similar industry
* Skilled in Computerized Maintenance Systems (e.g., SAP)
* Experience with scheduling/project management software (MS Project, Primavera)
* Knowledge of maintenance management, planning/scheduling, and contracting techniques
* Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
* Understanding of safety and environmental management legislation, standards, and procedures
* Preferred: >10 years experience in electricity generation operations and maintenance
