**Job Information**
You will be working under the show’s director to review the work of your direct reports for our upcoming 3D animated shows and will also be creating boards for it yourself. You will also be taking the charge in editorial - timing the boards, and adding scratch sound/music to create the best previsualisation for the episode possible.
NOTE: Our previs pipeline incorporates the use of thumbnail storyboards. I.e Opting for speed & efficiency for a sacrifice in storyboard fidelity/quality.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead, elevate and motivate a team of storyboard artists to tell amazing and visually impactful stories through their work.
- Review and deliver clear, professional feedback to storyboard artists based on director vision
- Refine and improve storyboard style based on director vision
- Clearly & efficiently communicate timing, framing, posing, and visual queues through storyboards
- Ability to create “thumbnail storyboards” at a fast pace.
- Devise new action beats and choreograph dynamic fight sequences
- Time and edit sequences from an entire episode into a single cohesive video.
- Add scratch sound/music FX to an episode to really bring out the tone/vibe of each scene.
**Qualifications/Experience**
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- 3+ years of experience on past animated productions
- In-depth proficiency with chosen digital drawing software (Storyboard Pro is a plus!)
- Strong understanding of camera techniques and principles
- Strong understanding of character animation/posing principles
- Strong knack for timing/pacing and understanding the best pacing/timing/flow for a scene.
- Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas Pro
- A deep commitment to having ongoing, active, and efficient communication both within and outside of your department..
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage their time well
- Ability to work independently and quality assure their own work
- Consistently strong problem-solving skills, as well as the capability to work in a disciplined manner and to make timely, well-thought-out decisions.
