About the Role:
As a Senior Lecturer in Film and Television, you will contribute to the development, delivery, and evaluation of our cutting-edge programs. You’ll work closely with the Head of Department to design and implement curriculum, create innovative teaching strategies, and provide mentorship to students. The role also involves collaborating with industry partners to ensure our programs are relevant, current, and aligned with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and evaluate course materials, assessments, and learning activities to ensure an industry-relevant and engaging curriculum.
* Lead and contribute to initiatives that enhance student engagement, academic performance, and employability, ensuring students gain essential skills in areas such as directing, cinematography, editing, and screenwriting.
* Collaborate with industry professionals to embed work-integrated learning and industry-driven opportunities into the curriculum.
* Support the Head of Department with operational responsibilities, including lecturer support, timetable management, and student progress tracking.
* Actively contribute to the professional development of staff, fostering a culture of learning and teaching excellence.
* Provide academic support, pastoral care, and guidance to students throughout their learning journey.
* Design and implement strategies for academic integrity and contribute to the improvement of the overall student experience.
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
* Proven teaching and curriculum design experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
* Strong understanding and experience with educational technologies and online teaching methods.
* Extensive industry experience in film and television production, with an ability to integrate practical knowledge into teaching.
* Ability to collaborate with industry stakeholders to enhance curriculum relevance and create work-integrated learning opportunities for students.
