Overview
Location: Southampton.
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, purchasing, and process improvement for a growing technology distributor.
This is a hands-on role where you'll lead a small team, ensure orders are fulfilled with accuracy and efficiency, and drive continuous improvements across operations.
Responsibilities
Manage daily warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping).
Lead and develop the warehouse team, ensuring KPIs are met.
Oversee purchasing for resale products and business consumables.
Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Ensure health & safety compliance and maintain ISO standards.
Support finance with invoice uploads and payment releases when required.
Monitor stock accuracy and drive error rates below 2%.
Work cross-functionally with sales and warehouse teams to streamline order fulfilment.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as an Operations, Warehouse, or Logistics Manager.
Robust leadership and people management skills.
Knowledge of purchasing and supplier management.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Competence in planning, KPIs, and process improvement.
Experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or HubSpot CRM is desirable.
