Key Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
* Demonstrated knowledge in IT Server Administration, including MCSA: Windows Server 2016 or newer certification.
* Certified SAFe Practitioner (mandatory for all COSPO personnel - can be completed upon engagement) and CompTIA Sec+ certified.
* VMWare vCentre trained through the VMWare vSphere learning pathway.
Experience
* Demonstrate experience in Server Administration, including creating hardware-agnostic SOE images using approved hardening guides.
* Proven experience with Physical and Virtual devices, PowerShell, and prior experience working on ADF systems and networks.
* Demonstrated experience in and understanding of information technology and/or cyber security, as well as prior experience in implementation of ISM controls and working within an ITIL framework.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance work in DCR and JCOMS Production environments, ensuring IT systems maintenance is carried out in accordance with COSPO Maintenance Management System (MMS).
* Using tools to back up running system configurations and information holdings, scheduling sequences daily and saving archives in a centralised DCR location alongside other Disaster Recovery information.
* Monitoring remote site and peer interface connectivity in real-time using system tools, reporting on failed links.
* Maintenance and patching for Dell Servers, HP Workstation, and other COSPO delivered products as required.
* Providing support to other Administrators for maintenance and patching for Dell and Extreme Networks switching devices, Cisco Integrated Services Routers, Fortinet firewalls, and other COSPO delivered products as required.
* Applying and auditing System Statement of Applicability (SoA) technical controls to network devices in addition to extra-policy measures set by the Systems Lead for IP interfaces exposed to cyber audiences.
* Supporting System Administrators with common Simulated Key Terrain (SKT) development and deployment tasks, including gold Operating System images, VMware vRealize Automation (VRA), and other specialist applications.
* Responsible for classified information handling in accordance with the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), XC-40 Classified Document Register (CDR) entry requirements, and site musters.
* Accountable for own workplace conduct, including dress, attendance, time keeping, productivity, behavior, and administration.
* Protecting Commonwealth Intellectual Property (IP), complying with US International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for export-controlled software, and reporting compliance concerns.
