The Role
We're looking for a Systems Administrator to join the IT team in Brisbane. This is a hands-on role supporting servers, networks, and virtualisation platforms. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and assisting with IT projects. Occasional interstate travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and support Windows Server and Linux systems.
* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices (Cisco, Fortinet).
* Work with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
* Monitor systems and perform proactive maintenance.
* Respond to support tickets and resolve technical issues.
* Document work, system configurations, and procedures.
* Assist with IT projects and deployments.
* Participate in occasional on-call support.
What You'll Need
* Strong experience with Windows and Linux administration.
* Understanding of network fundamentals: VLANs, routing, VPNs, IP addressing.
* Hands-on experience with network devices.
* Experience in a ticket-based support environment.
* Good troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
* Familiarity with monitoring and backup tools.
