About the RoleIn this pivotal role, you will oversee the management of ourTherapeutic Homes and Intensive Therapeutic Care Homes based inQueanbeyan, ensuring each residence delivers responsive,person-centred services that meet individual needs and upholdfunding requirements.
Travel to Goulburn will be required for thisrole.
You'll lead a passionate team committed to creatingsafe, supportive and therapeutic environments for children andyoung people in care.
What is ITC?
Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) is a specialised service systemdelivered under the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).
The model supports children and young people who are unable to bereceive needed supports in foster care or require specialised andintensive supports to maintain stability in their carearrangements.Complex mental health, intellectual and physical disability,emotional and behavioural issues are characteristics of thesechildren and young people, resulting in behaviours that oftenpresent a risk to themselves and others in their immediateenvironment.The goals of the ITC program include but are not limited to:Provide a safe, home-like workplace for12–18-year-olds.Have a strong focus on healing from trauma.Build life skills and connections for young people.Give young people as many chances as it takes to get itright.
About YouWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader who ispassionate about quality care and empowering teams.
You willbring:A degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Welfare,Disability Services, Community Services, or a relatedfield.A minimum of 5 years' relevant leadership experiencewithin a similar service environment.Proven interpersonal, problem-solving solving and conflictmanagement skills, with the ability to lead effectively inchallenging situations.A commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed, andclient-focused care.
