About The Role
You'll play a key role in delivering major capital works programs focused on renewing and upgrading complex electrical systems that support safe and reliable operation of critical infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise to specification, design review, commissioning and operational readiness of assets, while managing technical risks and ensuring alignment with business needs.
* Review and make recommendations for final engineering sign-off on concept designs, detailed drawings, reports and project proposals.
* Offer engineering advice to resolve complex project challenges, ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with operational requirements.
* Develop and assess technical solutions to asset issues, supporting safe and timely commissioning of new or refurbished equipment.
* Mentor and support junior and graduate engineers, contributing to team capability and professional development.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to assess and balance technical, commercial and operational risks.
Requirements
You're a senior level electrical engineer with significant experience in the design, construction or management of large scale industrial or energy infrastructure, ideally within the hydropower industry.
Your expertise includes HV switchgear, transformers, alternators and other electricity generation related equipment.
A strong track record of providing technical leadership, managing engineering risk and delivering high quality outcomes across complex projects is essential.
You're confident in engineering reviews and decision making, and a collaborative team player who values continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
