We're partnering with a global retail business seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their ANZ finance team. This role will support the production of accurate and timely financial information while maintaining strong accounting controls across the business. Working closely with the local Finance Manager and collaborating with APAC regional teams, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, solving problems and contributing within a fast‐paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Accounts Receivable activities across the ANZ region.
* Prepare and lodge BAS in line with ATO requirements.
* Support month‐end close including journals, accruals, sub‐ledger close and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly reporting packs including variance analysis for management.
* Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
* Produce weekly sales reporting to support budget tracking and performance insights.
* Perform daily sales and cash reconciliations and liaise with store teams to resolve variances.
* Support and enhance internal controls in line with group policy and statutory requirements.
* Develop and improve standard operating procedures and drive process efficiencies.
* Assist with stocktake preparation and compliance across store locations.
* Complete intercompany reconciliations and cost allocations.
* Support the annual audit process.
About You
* 3‐5 years' accounting experience, ideally within a multinational environment.
* CPA/CA qualified or currently studying.
* Retail industry experience is highly regarded.
* Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Proactive, positive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience will be highly regarded.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
