Who You Are
If you're qualified :
* You may hold a Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Nursing, or a related field.
If you're unqualified but eager to start, you may be:
* A caring, reliable individual ready to build a career in support work.
* Open to learning and willing to complete training.
* Someone with personal or volunteer experience in care (highly valued but not essential).
* Compassionate, patient, and comfortable assisting people with daily activities.

A Day in the Life as a Support Worker
Depending on your experience and the client's needs, you might:
* Assist with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming).
* Support clients with mobility, medication, or transport.
* Help around the home cleaning, cooking, shopping.
* Provide companionship and emotional support.
* Encourage community participation and independence.
