Job Role
This position involves delivering analytical chemistry testing services independently under direction. It requires applying chemical techniques for rapid and accurate quantification of insecticide residues in environmental samples.
The role involves performing scientific tasks accurately according to standard operating procedures, work instructions, protocols or methodologies to support valid data generation and compliance with accreditation standards, health and safety requirements and legislative obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality analytical results as per established protocols.
* Apply advanced chemical techniques to detect and quantify insecticide residues in environmental samples.
* Maintain, check and arrange calibration of laboratory equipment according to the quality maintenance schedule.
* Support Laboratory Manager and Principal Scientist in meeting business objectives by undertaking additional duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or closely related discipline.
* Previous laboratory experience.
* Experience working within a Laboratory Quality Management System.
* Desirable: GC-MS operation skills.
