The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer Capital Planning to support the Asset Planning team by ensuring the effective planning and design works of both new and existing infrastructure for our capital projects.
You will bring solid project management skills and the ability to deliver projects within scope, cost and schedule, with a safety-first mindset. You will be able to make quality decisions with the ability to communicate effectively with consultants and other key internal and external stakeholders to provide project and contract management to assist in coordination and planning of allocated capital projects. You'll be confident in interpreting and executing best practice and performance standards, and have a strong ability to work across projects with multiple disciplines.
What you'll bring
* Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline
* Experience in project engineering and design
* Experience in the planning and design of capital projects for water industry infrastructure or equivalent including approval of governance documentation
* Experience in project planning and design to ensure compliance with technical specifications, risk management, quality control, safety and financial management against assigned budgets
* Ability to interpret complex technical information, understand and interpret policies, industry codes, regulations, Australian Standards and legislation
* High level of creative and analytical thinking, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to present and deliver information with influence to key stakeholders across the organisation and external consultants
