About the Role
This newly created position plays a key role in strengthening the organisation's financial operations, systems and insights. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will:
* Provide senior technical accounting support across core financial functions.
* Analyse financial performance, trends and variances to inform operational decisions.
* Support the integrity and improvement of financial systems and processes.
* Assist with the financial management and acquittal of government grants.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and aged care financial requirements.
* Support reporting for Executive and Board audiences.
* Act as a connector between finance, systems and operational leaders.
This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, driving improvement and working across multiple teams.
About You
CA/CPA qualified, you are a technically strong accountant with experience in the aged care sector and a passion for meaningful financial analysis. You bring:
* Experience in aged care financial operations, including an understanding of the Aged Care Act and Support at Home financial requirements.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into practical insights.
* Experience supporting complex financial systems and resolving issues.
* Proven ability to meet reporting deadlines and manage grant acquittals.
* A collaborative working style and the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused.
Experience navigating sector reform or integrated care systems is highly desirable.
