About the Position
Reporting to theFinance Manager,inthis newly createdposition you willlead a team and help shape the compliance and controls environment. The position will suit atechnicallystrongaccountant,who is ready to own management accounts.
You will be accountable for:
Team Leadership and Development
* Activedevelopmentofateam of management accountantsthroughstructured coaching and regularperformanceconversations
* Sharingtechnicalknowledgein month-end processes, reconciliation standards, NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, andPowerBI
* Building team capabilities so responsibilities can progressively be delegated
Management Accounts
* Preparingandowning themonthly management accounts;P&L, variance analysis, written commentary, and month-end close coordination
* Maintain and improvereporting dashboards through to operations managers todrive operational insightinto business performance
Compliance and Internal Controls
* Hands onmanagement of the monthly compliance calendar, includingpayroll reconciliations, AP/AR, GST, and statutory obligations
* Maintainingthe internal controls register, conducting self-assessments, andidentifyinggaps before they become problems
* Contributing to business case preparation for site expansions and acquisitions;financial modelling support, data preparation, sensitivity analysis
* Contributing to finance team's development of the annual budget and reforecast cycles
About You
You are CA or CPA qualified withsignificantmanagement accounting experience, including ownership of month-end processes in a multi-entity or multi-site environment. You bring experience in a senior or supervisory capacity, with genuine responsibility for the quality of others' work, and a proven ability to develop team capability and improve the performance of those you lead.
You have advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, large dataset analysis, and multi-entity consolidation. Experience with NetSuite and Adaptive Planning is desirable, along with the ability to quickly learn and work confidently with financial systems. Youpossessstrong technical accounting capability suited to a complex services environment, including accruals, revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and payroll reconciliations, together with a solid understanding of the relationship between management accounting, financial reporting, audit requirements, and tax.
Youdemonstratesound professional judgement, communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, and take a proactive, hands-on approach. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and actively contributing to the delivery ofan accurateandtimelymonth-end process.
