Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Estimator to join our estimating team. As an integral part of project success, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tender bids, supporting project financials, and contributing to the success of high-profile construction projects.
About the Role:
* Assist in the preparation of high-quality tender submissions and cost estimates.
* Conduct quantity take-offs and cost planning for various trades and scopes.
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
* Support the Senior Estimator in evaluating documentation and identifying inconsistencies.
* Participate in post-award financial tasks and variation assessments.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, WHS standards, and industry regulations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating department.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship.
* 5 + years' experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry.
* Experience working on complex commercial projects valued over $30m.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to build strong relationships.
* Growth mindset and a genuine desire to develop professionally within a team environment.
* A background in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is highly regarded.
