We are hiring an Entry-Level Customer-FacingYARD HANDat ourGladstone yard
Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will join a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, purchasing, and processing scrap metal using various types of heavy equipment.
This is a full-time position with animmediate startavailable.
Your responsibilities will include
Provide a high level of service to all customers
Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers using a forklift
Operate heavy machinery, including forklift (excavator, material handler, and other shear operator experience is a plus)
Accurately grade and sort scrap metal materials
Maintain a safe and tidy site in compliance with all OH&S policies and environmental guidelines
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have
Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for exceeding expectations.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and build new skills through training
Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
A valid Forklift license is highly desirable.
