Fox Personnel has been engaged by our client, a respected name in high-quality beverages and sustainable manufacturing, who is seeking a passionate and proactive OHS Officer to lead the development and implementation of a workplace safety program across our Wangaratta and surrounding operations.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) programs and policies. You'll act as the key liaison for WorkSafe and lead initiatives that promote a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain a company-wide OHS program
* Promote a positive safety culture through training and regular engagement
* Conduct risk assessments and manage hazards using the hierarchy of control
* Investigate incidents and manage reporting obligations
* Lead emergency planning and WorkCover claims, including return-to-work coordination
* Stay abreast of changes to relevant legislation, compliance codes, and Australian standards
* Represent the organisation's values and commitment to employee wellbeing
About You
Essential:
* Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, or minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Confident with basic computer systems and reporting tools
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Current driver's licence
Preferred:
* Demonstrated leadership or team management experience
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Level 2 First Aid certification
