Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities
As the Chief Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical design, planning, installation, and integration of packaging and automation systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity, technical compliance, and performance of the mechanical components throughout the life cycle of the project.
Required Skills and Experience
At least 1 year of experience in a mechanical engineering or technical office environment, with demonstrated ability in the following areas:
- Developing and validating mechanical designs, assemblies, and layouts in compliance with technical requirements and applicable standards.
- Selecting, planning, and managing procurement of mechanical materials and components to meet project needs.
- Supervising and coordinating on-site mechanical installation and assembly, ensuring build quality, safety, and compliance with design specifications.
- Organising tools, technical equipment, and resources required for the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Providing on-site technical support, including diagnosis and resolution of mechanical issues during installation, testing, and ramp-up phases.
- Collaborating with electrical, automation, and control teams to ensure correct system integration.
- Ensuring that all mechanical systems and activities adhere to Australian standards and occupational health and safety regulations.

TAVIL Australia offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience.
