Functions Manager | The Lakehouse & Brightwater Hotel | Redcape HospitalityAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsExtraordinary Hospitality Starts With You!As the Functions Manager at The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast & Brightwater Hotel, you will take the lead in the operational delivery of weddings, corporate functions and private events across both venues. Working closely with the Functions Sales & Operations Manager, you’ll ensure every event is executed to the highest standard - from detailed setups and team coordination through to seamless on-the-day delivery. It reflects our genuine desire to be part of and contribute to our teams.Key Responsibilities:Event Setup & Pack DownLead the full setup and pack down of all weddings, corporate functions, and private events, ensuring venues are prepared, styled and logistically ready.Team & Service LeadershipManage and direct event staff during functions, upholding service standards and providing strong on-the-ground leadership throughout each event.Cross-Team CoordinationWork closely with kitchen and bar teams to align timing, service flow and delivery, ensuring smooth coordination across all departments.Pre-Event & On-the-Day ExecutionComplete thorough pre-event checks (AV, floorplans, styling, menus, guest needs) and act as the lead contact during events to resolve issues and deliver seamless experiences.Venue Support & StandardsAssist with restaurant operations when events aren’t scheduled, maintain high presentation standards, cleanliness and stock levels across both venues.What We’re Looking For2–3 years’ experience in an events, hospitality, or venue operations role, ideally with supervisory responsibilities.Strong leadership and team coordination skills, particularly in live event settings.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail under pressure.A practical understanding of event logistics, guest service expectations, and hospitality standards.Confidence using POS systems and event software (experience with Function Tracker and OpenTable a bonus).Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.Current RSA certification.Enjoy the benefits of Redcape HospitalityWith a diverse portfolio of 30+hotels across NSW and QLD, Redcape provides unparalleled growth opportunities within Australia’s hospitality industry.Extensive training opportunities for professional development and career progression.Staff benefits which include, but are not limited to 40% off on-premise Food & Beverage and 10% off consumable Bottle Shop purchases (across all Redcape Venues).An opportunity to engage and give back to the community through our Publinc Communities platform.Clearly defined career progression pathway.For more about Redcape Hospitality visitwww.redcape.com.auIf you’re ready to make an impact and bring your skills to a rewarding role, apply now and help us create extraordinary hospitality experiences!How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Functions Manager?
