Your New Role
The Public Relations & Media Officer is vital in promoting and maintaining Xavier Catholic College’s excellent reputation within the local community, parishes of Albury, across the Diocese of Wagga Wagga, online, and across all media platforms.
This role requires creativity in presenting the school, understanding the needs of different audiences, and demonstrating excellence in managing both online and offline communications materials.
The Public Relations & Media Officer plays a key role in sharing information, engaging with school life, and promoting school activities. The position involves significant responsibility, independent judgment, and initiative, with a thorough knowledge of marketing procedures, advanced skills, and adherence to KPIs and deadlines set by the Principal and Leadership team to support the school's mission.

Salary
Level 5: $92,406 per year (unaveraged, works during school breaks)
Selection Criteria
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team to meet targets and deadlines
* Experience in delivering high-quality marketing and promotional materials using various software
* Website management experience with back-end systems (minimum three years)
* Experience liaising with media
* Proficiency in using social media for marketing and communication
* Technological skills to enhance communication narratives
* Knowledge of contemporary marketing methods and budget management
* Ability to work under tight timeframes
* Experience providing executive administrative support
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry experience in marketing, communication, journalism, web design, photography, or graphic design
* NSW Working with Children Check and successful Criminal History Check
