Our client is an independent and leading education provider, dedicated to supporting students to be valued and grow. Having been recognised an Employer of Choice, this is an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join the team (starting ASAP) on a three month temp basis with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and prepare end of year accounting journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
* Support Accounts Payable with weekly payments.
* Support Accounts Receivable with invoicing using Synergetic.
* Prepare, review & post monthly payroll journals.
* Review monthly payroll actuals and projections against budgets.
* Liaise with budget holders where required regarding any actual or projected budget variances.
* Ensure adequate cash flow and cash management at all times.
* Manage annual budget process and collate the Annual Budget in conjunction with information provided by all budget holders.
* Prepare and Lodge BAS and FBT.
* Maintain funding records and advise for audit purposes.
* Prepare Monthly Management Reports.
Qualifications
* Prior experience within the education sector.
* CA/CPA qualified (or currently completing).
* Strong technical, Excel and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with the Synergetic system is essential, with Alii experience desirable.
