Job Title: Executive Chef
As a pivotal member of our culinary team, you will collaborate with the Head Chef to lead and manage the entire kitchen brigade. Your primary focus will be to ensure exceptional standards of food quality and kitchen operations across all sections of the business.
The successful candidate will maintain high standards of food safety, service, and presentation in line with industry regulations. They will assist with menu planning and cost management to achieve a competitive market share, minimizing waste wherever possible.
The ideal candidate will process food orders in accordance with company purchasing policies, ensuring only approved suppliers are used. They will thoroughly familiarize themselves with company policies and procedures and implement them daily to guarantee food safety and hygiene in the kitchen and associated areas.
They will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in premises and self, sharing responsibility with the Head Chef for checking, inspecting, and verifying food deliveries. The candidate will verify that food presentation is innovative and at the required temperature, with temperatures recorded on appropriate charts.
They will assist with stock takes as necessary and review the kitchen hazard list weekly with the Head Chef. Good communication and working relationships with clients, customers, and staff are essential.
Qualifications include relevant culinary qualifications, 1-2 years' experience in a professional kitchen, experience in industrial catering, and ability to prepare sophisticated food items for consumption.
