On behalf of Chevron, we are looking for an experienced Fabrication/Preassembly Coordinator. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence, adherence to best practices, and compliance with company standards for quality product delivery.
The Fabrication/Preassembly Coordinator will be based in Henderson and will primarily focus on overseeing fabrication activities, particularly in the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) discipline. You will collaborate closely with contractors, operations science analysts, and construction package leads to drive progress, resolve issues, and optimise productivity throughout the project lifecycle.
**About this role** Operational Excellence**:
- Drive operational excellence initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in fabrication processes.
**Fabrication Oversight**:
- Oversee fabrication activities located at Henderson, with a specific focus on the E&I discipline.
- Monitor progress against the plan and take proactive measures to maintain alignment.
- Direct contractors on field run installation tasks, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety protocols.
- Coordinate the closure of technical queries to expedite project timelines.
- Minimize the impacts of engineering changes by implementing efficient change management procedures.
- Review and redline drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Provide guidance and support for assembly and completion of Inspection and Test Records (ITRs).
**Review and Planning**:
- Collaborate with Operations Science Analysts to deploy productivity enhancement initiatives and identify barriers hindering progress.
- Validate actual progress against claimed progress and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Work closely with the Construction Package Lead to identify opportunities for improving progress and efficiency
**About you**
- Proven experience in fabrication coordination, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of E&I disciplinerequirements and standards.
- Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external contractors.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
