Role Summary:
The GMP Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily packaging operations, ensuring compliance with GMP guidelines, safety protocols, and company policies. This role involves supervising packaging staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining documentation to support regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise day-to-day packaging activities to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
* Train, mentor, and develop production staff on GMP requirements and best practices.
* Ensure batch records, documentation, and reports are accurately maintained.
* Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) to ensure product quality and compliance.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* Conduct routine inspections, audits, and safety checks on production equipment and facilities.
* Investigate and report deviations, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
* Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure raw material availability and inventory control.
* Ensure workplace safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance standards are met.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, pharmaceuticals, or related field (preferred).
* Experience in a GMP-regulated environment (pharmaceuticals, food, biotech, or medical devices).
* Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within production.
* Strong understanding of GMP guidelines and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Effective communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in documentation, record-keeping, and reporting.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Desirable:
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
* Familiarity with audits and regulatory inspections (TGA, FDA, etc.).
* Experience in equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
