Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Formulation/Process Scientist to join our organization in Carole Park. This position will oversee technical and formulation knowledge for product transfers, new product launches, validations, and process improvement activities.
* The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects and direct planning and development of troubleshooting initiatives, formulation, and process improvement activities at Carole Park manufacturing sites.
* Responsibilities include participating in the introduction of new products or product health projects, reviewing annual product reviews, and defining corrective actions.
* Additionally, the successful candidate will review site recommendations regarding Critical Process Parameters, Critical Material Attributes, and Process Control Strategies.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to drive project timelines, develop investigation strategies, and educate and train local technical services and manufacturing personnel in formulation process control and design concepts.
In addition, the incumbent will:
* Write and review formal reports regarding product launch, investigation, process improvement, status, and resolution.
* Assist the Technical Service Department in defining investigative and validation criteria.
* Reviews and approves manufacturing investigations related to product quality, engineering trials, and validation protocols and reports.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with emphasis on drug development, process development, and manufacturing.
* Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis.
* Maths knowledge required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform statistical computations.
