An opportunity exists within Samuel Smith & Son, a respected, family-owned wine merchant. About the Role

Based in Footscray, this role is responsible for the end-to-end setup, implementation, review, and ongoing support of customer trading terms, agreements, accruals, and rebates within the Australian market.

Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the position holds accountability for ensuring all trading agreement processes are delivered accurately on time, and in support of the broader Australian sales team

Key tasks include

· Own and manage all Customer Trading Agreements (CTAs) nationally, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with approved trading terms

· Lead the end-to-end setup, maintenance, and documentation of CTAs, including accrual establishment and ongoing reviews

· Administer and reconcile rebates, claims, and accruals, maintaining accurate registers and ensuring timely, compliant processing

· Coordinate quarterly accrual reviews and monthly WET claims in collaboration with Sales, Commercial, and Finance stakeholders

· Provide commercial oversight of trading agreements, assessing viability and identifying risks or misalignment with business policies

· Act as a key support partner to Sales leadership, Region Managers, and Field teams on CTA, rebate, and customer query resolution

· Deliver clear, accurate reporting on trading agreements, rebates, and accrual status to internal stakeholders

· Drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and enhancing customer service outcomes

About you

Experienced in managing rebates, accruals, and trading agreements with strong financial, analytical, and reconciliation skills. Skilled at resolving discrepancies, interpreting commercial terms, and ensuring compliance. Highly organised, able to manage multiple agreements and deadlines while streamlining processes.

Effective communicator and collaborator, engaging with sales, commercial, and finance teams to deliver high-quality customer support. Tertiary qualified in Business or Finance, with experience in FMCG, beverage, or wine sectors.
