Common Ground Queensland (CGQ) is a specialist supportive housing organisation providing supportive and affordable housing to people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. We offer housing to individuals and families in high and medium density single site and dispersed site models.
Our supportive housing approach offers long term, safe and affordable housing that is intentionally linked to personalised support services. Support services for tenants are provided through partner organisations.
CGQ also provides tenancy support to individuals and families in partnership with partner organisations to assist tenants to sustain their tenancies and maintain stable housing outcomes.

ABOUT YOU
You are a compassionate and solutions-focused professional with experience in tenancy and property management, ideally within a social or community housing environment. You understand the unique challenges faced by tenants with complex needs and are committed to providing safe, stable and sustainable housing outcomes.
With strong interpersonal skills, you build respectful relationships and approach your work with empathy, clear boundaries, and an understanding of the impact life experiences can have on tenants. You manage issues like rent arrears and property standards with fairness and professionalism.
Organised and proactive, you work well in a team and are always looking for ways to improve processes. You believe housing is a human right and are passionate about inclusive, safe communities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Tenancy Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering a client focused service to current and prospective tenants and to oversee the day-to-day management of residential tenancies across CGQ housing.
The Tenancy Manager is required to maintain effective relationships and communications with all CGQ team members, tenants, and Support Providers to deliver positive tenant outcomes consistent with the Common Ground supportive housing model.

Key Selection Criteria
Essential
* Proven experience in tenancy and property management, preferably within community housing or real estate, including tenancy management, lease administration, and property maintenance coordination.
* In depth knowledge of Rental Tenancy Act legislation.
* Experience utilising Console Cloud Property and Tenancy Management system or similar.
* Proven ability and experience working in partnership with an onsite Support Provider.
* High level stakeholder management, collaboration and dispute resolution skills.
* High degree of initiative and ability to work well in a team.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
* Strong analytical ability.
* Confidence and skill in working with information technology systems.
* Drivers licence.
Desirable
* Understanding of homelessness and the needs of those who have experienced chronic homelessness.
* Experience working in accordance with supportive housing models of tenancy management.
* Policy, procedural and protocol development experience.
* Tertiary qualifications in Tenancy Management - Certificate 4 in Property Management.
