Technical Business Development Manager - Cairns
AC Solar Warehouse is a leading technical solar wholesaler in the Asia-Pacific region. Apply your technical knowledge and business development skills to drive growth in market-leading solar power technologies and join a team at the forefront of Australia's clean energy transition.
Overview
AC Solar Warehouse is one of Australia's leading solar wholesalers, supplying high-quality solar and energy storage equipment to installation companies across Australia and New Zealand. We have grown from a small start-up into a large, employee-owned company with offices and distribution centres across several locations. Our culture centres on excellence, teamwork and shared success, and we are committed to being the most professional and supportive solar wholesaler in Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role
Our manufacturing division, based at our Cairns head office, is growing, and we're looking for a Technical Business Development Manager to join our team. This role suits a technically capable and commercially minded professional who enjoys working across product, sales, and stakeholder management in a dynamic B2B environment.
As the Technical Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving the success of our manufactured product range. You'll lead sales initiatives, manage key customer and supplier relationships, and work closely with internal teams across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and technical expertise to support product development, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
This is a highly collaborative and influential role, not a traditional sales position. Success comes from combining strong technical knowledge with commercial insight, excellent communication, and the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. You'll play a key role in shaping product direction, supporting the wider sales team, and ensuring our manufactured products deliver value to customers and the business.
Our modern Cairns office environment offers a great balance of professionalism and personality. We work hard, lift each other up during busy periods and genuinely celebrate team wins. It's a friendly, close-knit workplace where your contribution will be recognised and valued.
AC Solar Warehouse is proudly 100% Australian and employee-owned. Our founder and Managing Director remains hands-on in the business and leads with a supportive, empowering and team-focused approach. If you're looking to make a meaningful impact, work with great people and grow with a respected industry leader, this is the opportunity for you.
