We are seeking a passionate Religious Studies Teacher to inspire pupils to explore different religions, cultures, and ethical perspectives in a meaningful way. The role begins in September 2025.
Duties as a Religious Studies Teacher:
1. Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
2. Teach a broad and balanced Religious Studies curriculum that encourages critical thinking and open-minded discussion.
3. Support pupils in developing an understanding of different faiths, worldviews, and moral issues.
4. Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
5. Encourage respect, tolerance, and debate in a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop teaching resources and strategies.
7. Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:
1. Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Has experience teaching Religious Studies in a secondary school setting.
3. Is passionate about exploring diverse perspectives and encouraging meaningful discussions.
4. Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
5. Is committed to promoting a culture of respect and understanding within the school.
