About the Role
The
Employment Relations Specialist
will partner with business units to provide specialist employment relations advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice on ER and IR matters such as industrial instruments, employment arrangements, performance management, misconduct, discrimination, sexual harassment, victimisation and bullying.
Support employees and management to settle employee disputes and workplace grievances by advising on and or conducting internal investigations or early resolution meetings.
Drafting and advising on employment contracts.
Participate, defend and manage FWC conciliation/mediations including applications for unfair dismissal and adverse action.
Policies and Reporting:
Assist in implementing a strategic and consistent Employment Relations approach.
Review and maintain IR policies and procedures.
Prepare reports on relevant matters.
Skills and Experience:
Degree qualified in employment law with commercial experience.
Knowledge of Australian Employment Law, Fair Work Act and ER procedures and processes.
Effective time management skills and solid problem-solving abilities.
