Tobwabba Aboriginal Medical Service (TAMS) is seeking a clinically qualified, values-driven leader to take on the pivotal role of General Manager – Clinic & Clinical Governance.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse, Allied Health professional or similar clinician who has moved into leadership — or is ready to — and wants to shape the future of Aboriginal primary health care.
What you'll be responsible for
* Leading day-to-day clinic operations, workflow, rostering and service delivery
* Driving strong clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management
* Overseeing accreditation (AGPAL), infection control and compliance with national standards
* Leading and mentoring senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
* Managing clinic budgets, Medicare claiming and operational performance
* Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and retention
* Building strong relationships with community, stakeholders and partners
* Chairing or contributing to Clinical Governance forums and reporting to the CEO and Board
About you
* You're a clinically trained leader who brings both credibility and calm to complex environments.
* A clinical qualification (Registered Nurse, Allied Health or equivalent)
* Significant experience in clinic management, clinical governance or senior health leadership
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal primary health care and culturally safe practice
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex service environments
* Knowledge of Medicare claiming, accreditation and quality systems
* A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to make decisions
* High ethical standards, excellent communication skills and strong judgement
