Overnight Operations Lead
Job Summary
The Overnight Operations Lead supports the Night Manager in overseeing all overnight hotel operations, ensuring a safe, seamless, and exceptional guest experience throughout the night shift. This role is responsible for leading the night team, managing guest service delivery, maintaining security, and ensuring operational excellence in line with Hilton brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the night shift team (front desk, porters, cleaners, kitchen, security)
* Ensure guest arrivals, departures, and requests are handled efficiently and warmly
* Monitor hotel security, fire and safety systems; liaise with emergency services as needed
* Complete night audit and financial reporting accurately and on time
* Communicate and coordinate with day shift and other departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B)
* Respond promptly to guest feedback, complaints, and incidents; empower team to resolve issues
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
* Maintain accurate guest records and preferences to ensure personalised and seamless service during each stay
* Lead by example, demonstrating Hilton values and promoting teamwork and continuous improvement
Requirements
* Positive attitude with strong communication and leadership skills
* Previous experience managing overnight or night shift teams in hospitality or similar industry
* Excellent grooming and professional presentation
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Passion for delivering exceptional guest service, especially during overnight operations
* Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
* Experience with hotel security, safety systems, and emergency procedures is highly regarded
* Proven ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure seamless operations
* A current, valid driver's license and the ability to drive a variety of vehicles (manual driving experience is highly regarded)
