Job Description
Location Flexible Across the Emmetts Branch Network in South Australia & Western Victoria | Occasional Travel to Horsham Required
Emmetts is seeking a motivated and capable professional to step into the role of Inventory Controller.
If you have a passion for process, a strategic mindset, and a background in machinery sales and inventory management—this is your chance to contribute at a Group level.
About the Role
The Inventory Controller plays a critical role in managing and optimising stock control across our branch network. You'll work closely with Branch Managers, Sales teams, and the wider group to ensure efficient inventory flow, identify sales opportunities, and drive best practices in compliance and process.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate stock levels across all branches to meet operational and sales targets.
* Partner with Sales Representatives and Branch Managers to manage new and used machinery, including valuations, transfers, and ordering.
* Lead and support strategic stock control decisions to maximise availability and minimise aged stock.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the ordering and sales lifecycle.
* Contribute to the ongoing improvement of inventory systems and processes.
What You Bring
* Demonstrated experience in machinery ordering and sales, ideally within the agriculture or machinery sectors.
* A strong understanding of inventory processes, sales cycles, and product knowledge.
* Strategic thinking and a process-oriented mindset to drive inventory effectiveness.
* Strong communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability and willingness to travel to Horsham for onboarding and collaboration with the current team
