**Personal Consultant**

We at Chandler Macleod have an exciting new opportunity for unique and rewarding Personal Consultant position. Our state-owned client provides an integral role for Victorians who, due to mental illness, injury or disability, are unable to independently manage their own financial and/or legal affairs.

The right person for this role will be people and client centric, who are passionate in making a difference in Victorian lives, providing empathetic, dedicated and client centric service.

**Purpose of Role**

The Personal Consultant takes inbound calls and resolves enquiries from clients have who have been appointed to the client and no longer have the capacity to manage their own affairs.

As a Personal Consultant in the Contact Centre your purpose is to ensure that clients experience a smooth and efficient service with client. You will be participating in a team aimed at minimising incoming calls into the Contact Centre through education with company clients and stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage inbound calls, identify and resolve calls, ownership of queries
- Professional phone manner, appropriate communication with customer base
- Approve payments, transfer calls, adhere to rostering, comply with legislation and policy
- Stakeholder engagement, liaise with relevant key stakeholders
- Inbound calls from clients, support persons, building strong relationships
- Information management with clients, record all events, providing information on financial affairs and position when requested

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience requirements**

**Essential**:

- Experience in a busy customer service and team-based environment
- Well-developed communication skills (written and spoken)
- Minimum 40wpm typing speed with high level of accuracy
- Competent financial literacy and understanding of simple budgets
- Basic computer literacy including competent use of Microsoft Office

**Desirable**:

- Experience in a busy contact centre environment
- Understanding and experience dealing with clients with a disability
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
