About the Role
Shape your career by joining Alcoa's Vacation Student program for a 12‐week paid summer placement. Based in Western Australia at Pinjarra, Wagerup, or Kwinana Refineries, you will apply university knowledge and develop professional skills in a real industrial setting.
What you'll be doing
* Assigned a lab‐ or refinery‐based project that delivers real value to the business and provides hands‐on industry experience.
* Exposed to data and statistical analysis of process information, refinery sampling and laboratory analysis.
* Involved in process troubleshooting, computer‐based data manipulation and trending heat and mass balances.
* Handle assigned projects with an appropriate level of responsibility, using innovative thinking, eagerness to learn, and passion for growth.

What you can bring to the role
* Currently studying Chemical Engineering, Minerals Processing, or a related discipline (accepting all year groups).
* Self‐motivated and passionate about your chosen discipline, eager to learn and expand your knowledge.
* Capable of working independently and communicating with multiple stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
* Strong team player with effective time management, organisational and problem‐solving skills.
* Available to commence end of November for a full‐time 12‐week period ending in February.
* Able to travel to and from your work location each day.
