The Meher Group is a fast-growing family-owned trailer parts manufacturer and distributor with its Head Office in Hallam, VIC and offices around the world. The Group is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to be part of its small team to facilitate its growth in its Yatala Queensland facility.
The Role
The position will require the candidate to work closely with all teams within the Group, covering a wide range of Welding & Fabrication. Tasks may include:
* Manufacturing of steel trailer components, including and not limited to pre-cutting, drilling and bending, followed by welding and finishing. Plus, all associated workshop duties.
The Candidate
Working in a small team, the successful candidate should be able to work autonomously and collaboratively. They should also be passionate and be looking for long term career growth. Desirable skills and qualifications include:
* 1-year minimum welding and fabrication experience.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
* Excellent technical ability and be able to carry out duties to a high standard within time frames.
* Able to work in a team or unsupervised.
* Have a strong commitment to Health and Safety.
* Reliable Transport and a Current Drivers License.
* Cross Trained in Facility associate duties

This position is full time permanent, Monday to Friday and remuneration will be based on relative experience.
Usual Business hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 6am to 2 pm and Friday 6am to 12 noon. However, to be successful in the position, you may be required to work additional times to liaise with Head Office and other overseas stakeholders to ensure effective communication amongst the entire team.
