We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations and Maintenance Technician – Mechanical to join us in our Operations & Maintenance team in Port Hedland, WA on a full time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will play a key role in performing ongoing maintenance and completing repairs on equipment and capital. Your duties include fixing machinery, inspecting systems to confirm safety standards, and scheduling major repairs.

Key Responsibilities

* Performing routine maintenance
* Perform Routine Planned Maintenance on Gas Turbine Equipment and associated balance of plant
* Maintaining the Power Generation equipment in accordance with the annual work plan
* Applying preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems
* Respond to system faults and unplanned events or breakdowns
* Safety Leadership Identifying and rectifying potential safety hazards

Your background

* Experience in Gas Turbine operations and Maintenance
* Power Generation operations and Maintenance or equivalent Industry experience
* Exposure to planning and executing Turbine planned outages and managing contractors onsite
* Use of CMMS systems – MAXIMO or similar
* Excellent Team Player
* Familiarity with FIFO operations
