Fire Safety Engineer Key Role
We are looking for a Fire Safety Engineer to join our team. As part of this role, you will contribute to the development of fire safety engineering design solutions across buildings, defence, and transport infrastructure projects.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to support our existing portfolio of projects in Australia. You will work with our national team to assist on projects across the country.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of fire safety engineering design solutions under the guidance of senior management and engineers. The role will also involve collaboration with fire protection engineering and other disciplines within the organisation and externally as required.
Key Technical Expectations
As a Fire Safety Engineer, you will need to have a working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and fire safety engineering processes in Australia. You must be able to analyse and manage design work and engineering tasks, planning, scheduling, and conducting work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
You should be able to prepare and verify design calculations in fire engineering and modelling. A strong understanding of fire safety engineering principles and practices is essential for this role.

Requirements and Qualifications
* A degree in a relevant field such as fire safety engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
* A working knowledge of the BCA and fire safety engineering processes in Australia.
* Ability to analyse and manage design work and engineering tasks.
* Planning, scheduling, and conducting work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
* Ability to prepare and verify design calculations in fire engineering and modelling.
