Recruitment Team Leader / Operations Manager – Labour Hire
KMG Labour Hire is seeking an experienced and driven Recruitment Team Leader / Operations Manager to oversee the day‐to‐day operations of our growing labour hire division across commercial construction, civil, mining, shutdowns, and infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia.
This is a senior hands‐on leadership role suited to someone who understands the labour hire industry, blue‐collar recruitment, workforce management, EBA environments, client relationships, and operational leadership.
The successful candidate will play a key role in running the day‐to‐day recruitment and operations side of the business while working closely with management to continue driving growth across WA projects.

About the Role
This role will oversee the day‐to‐day recruitment and operational functions of the labour hire division. You will be responsible for managing recruitment operations, client relationships, workforce planning, site requirements, compliance processes, and supporting business growth across multiple projects and clients.
This is not just a recruitment role — we are looking for someone who understands how labour hire businesses operate and can take ownership of the day‐to‐day running of the division.
The successful candidate will oversee a workforce of 100+ employees while managing and supporting a growing office team.
You will also be responsible for dealing with the day‐to‐day operations of the business while liaising closely with both the accounts team and recruitment team to ensure smooth operational performance across all projects and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing the day‐to‐day operations of the labour hire division
* Managing and leading a team of 5 office staff
* Managing a workforce of 100+ employees across multiple projects and clients
* Liaising daily with the accounts team and recruitment team
* Managing client relationships and site requirements
* Working closely with site supervisors and project teams
* Managing the full 360 recruitment process
* Bringing in new business opportunities and building client relationships
* Understanding and managing EBA and award rates across projects
* Managing workforce planning, mobilisation, and placements
* Ensuring recruitment workflows and placements are managed correctly through JobAdder
* Overseeing onboarding, compliance, and workforce documentation
* Supporting payroll, rates, and operational processes where required
* Improving systems, structure, and operational efficiency within the business
* Assisting management with business growth and strategic planning
Essential Criteria
* Minimum 5+ years experience within labour hire or blue‐collar recruitment
* Strong understanding of labour hire operations and workforce management
* Previous leadership or management experience essential
* Experience managing large blue‐collar workforces and office teams
* Strong knowledge of EBA rates, awards, and blue‐collar pay structures
* Extensive JobAdder experience is essential
* Experience managing high‐volume recruitment and operational workflows
* Strong understanding of commercial construction, civil, mining, or shutdown environments
* Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast‐paced environment
* Highly motivated, solutions‐focused, and hands‐on approach
