What You’ll Be Doing:
As the Drafting Designer within Retail Food Group (RFG), you will be responsible for drafting and designing store plans for new builds and refurbishments across all RFG brands. This role requires a keen understanding of our brand standards, cost-effectiveness, compliance with food standards and laws, and a commitment to sustainability. We seek a skilled designer with expertise in architectural drafting, who can translate strategic objectives into practical and innovative store designs that enhance brand identity and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with new franchisees to guide them through the store design journey, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining brand standards.
•Engage with existing franchisees during refurbishments to provide design solutions that are both cost-effective and compliant with relevant regulations.
•Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Leasing, Projects, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
•Continuously review and improve store designs to ensure relevance, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
•Draft store plans that comply with sustainability legislation and align with RFG's brand standards across the brand portfolio
•Utilize Salesforce to manage all design inputs and outputs, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the design process.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with external shopfitters, suppliers, and contractors to ensure quality and timeliness in the execution of store designs.
•Ensure compliance with all building code requirements and franchise regulations across states.
•Represent RFG and its brands in negotiations with franchise partners, ensuring design solutions meet both business and operational needs.
What We’re Looking For:
•Proficient in Archicad software, with a strong understanding of Australian building standards.
•Demonstrated experience in store design and drafting, with a keen eye for quality and detail.
•Strong communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and plans to stakeholders.
•Technical knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and commercial kitchen layouts.
•Solution-oriented problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
•Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
•Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
•Qualifications in architecture, Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
