Job Description
The Commercial Branch within the Virginia, Workforce and Commercial Division is seeking talented and experienced commercial, procurement, and contracting leaders at the EL 2 level.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction to ensure a high level of integration and consistency across the Agency procurement and contracting function.
* Manage, lead, and be accountable for procurement planning, tendering, contract formation, and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes, and procedures.
* Accountable for managing and leading a team, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioral standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility, and guiding and developing people.
* Accountable for managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, workflows, developing strategies, and evaluating business outcomes.
About Our Team
Our Commercial Branch is responsible for the procurement and contracting function for the Australian Submarine Agency (ASA) and provides a wide range of commercial services:
* Support from beginning to end of a procurement activity, from identifying a need to contract execution and follow-up advice and support through contract management.
* Provide guidance, assurance, and advice on all procurement-related matters, including procurement policies and methods.
* Provide guidance with contract management activities.
* Provide support and advice pertaining to probity matters, requirements, and activities.
* Engage and liaise with specialized services where required.
