About the Role
The Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager (or General Manager, depending on candidate level) to lead our growing facilities services operations in Western Australia. This hands‑on leadership position is responsible for driving operational excellence, client satisfaction, team performance, financial results, and sustainable growth across our comprehensive service offerings—including commercial cleaning, hygiene, laundry/linen and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for day‑to‑day operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high‑quality, tailored facility services to clients in aged care, healthcare, commercial offices, education, hospitality, and other sectors.
Manage cash flow, working capital, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Manage and develop team members, including training, performance management, retention strategies, and fostering a positive, supported workplace culture to minimise turnover.
Oversee and optimise service delivery across multiple sites, including rostering, resource allocation, rapid mobilisation, and responsive issue resolution.
Implement and monitor robust quality assurance processes, including regular site inspections, digital reporting/checklists, and corrective actions to exceed client expectations.
Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, cost control, pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and identifying opportunities for upselling ancillary services (e.g., laundry, maintenance).
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of escalation, conducting regular reviews, and ensuring contract compliance and renewal success.
Collaborate with business development teams to support growth, tender responses, and new client onboarding.
Oversee pricing strategy to ensure contracts are profitable.
Ensure full compliance with WHS regulations, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), infection control protocols (particularly in high-risk sectors like aged care), and all relevant legislation.
Ensure compliant HR practices (awards, pay rates, shift rosters).
Report on key performance metrics (KPIs) including client satisfaction, service delivery quality, financials, staff engagement, and operational efficiency.
Proven experience (5+ years) in senior leadership roles within facilities services, commercial cleaning, property services, or a related industry (e.g., previous General Manager, Operations Director, or Regional Manager in FM/cleaning).
Strong operational background managing multi‑site teams of 100+ staff, with demonstrated success in workforce stability, training, and performance improvement.
Sound commercial acumen, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, cost management, and contract negotiation.
Excellent understanding of commercial cleaning/hygiene standards, WHS compliance, and sector‑specific requirements (e.g., aged care infection control).
Leadership style that is approachable, motivational, and focused on quality, sustainability, and client‑centric service.
Proficiency with operational tools/systems (e.g., rostering software, digital QA platforms, MS Office).
Valid Australian driver's licence and ability to travel across Perth metro and regional WA sites as required.
Commitment to eco‑friendly and innovative practices.
Experience in aged care, healthcare, or high‑hygiene environments.
Knowledge of laundry/linen services.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Advanced Diploma in Leadership & Management, WHS certifications, or facilities management‑related).
