About The Role đ€
Weâre looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, and ongoing improvement of Quad Lockâs electronic products. Youâll be responsible for delivering robust, compliant, and high-quality electrical and electronic systems that support our growing portfolio.
In this role, youâll work across the product lifecycle - from testing, troubleshooting, liaising with overseas suppliers and local consultants, to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
As a trusted technical expert, youâll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and improvement, provide clear guidance, and help drive outcomes that support Quad Lockâs success.
Please note; this role is offered as a 12 month, fixed term contract.
What You'll Do âĄïž
Work autonomously and build the electronics function at Quad Lock from the ground upScope, review and consolidate electronics architecture across the entire Quad Lock product rangeDesign and develop electrical and electronic systems, circuits, and componentsConduct feasibility studies, analyse requirements, and create detailed technical specifications for projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical and electronic systems into larger product designsManage firmware specification, requirements and development with suppliersPerform simulations, calculations, and modelling to optimise system performance, efficiency, and reliabilityConduct testing, verification, and validation activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standardsTroubleshoot and debug electrical and electronic systems, identifying and resolving technical issuesStay updated with industry trends and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into designsEnsure compliance with relevant electrical safety standards, codes, and regulationsCreate and maintain documentation, including design records, technical reports, and user manualsCollaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and select appropriate components and materialsParticipate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
What You'll Bring đ€
Proven experience in designing electrical and electronic systems, preferably in a Consumer product domain (Wireless Charging expertise would be an advantage)Strong understanding of Firmware and Hardware InteractionsProficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) software and simulation tools for circuit design and analysisStrong knowledge of electrical and electronic components, systems, their integration and supply chainsFamiliarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as NEC, IEC, IEEE, Qi2 (desirable)Experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic systemsProficient in using lab equipment, measurement tools, and diagnostic instrumentsExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex technical issuesStrong communication skills to collaborate effectivelyAbility to manage multiple projects, delivering high-quality results within deadlinesDetail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precisionBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
