**In this role you will be responsible for**:* Lead the preparation of accurate and timely cost estimates for airports and Defence infrastructure projects, including both tender submissions and feasibility studies.
* Analyse documentation (drawings, specifications, scope statements) and identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders – engineers, planners, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients – to obtain required information and validate estimates.
* Prepare quantity take-offs, rate build-ups, and Bills of Quantities using industry-standard estimation software.
* Evaluate and adjudicate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring alignment with project scope and company standards.
* Provide clear, professional reporting on estimate breakdowns and price rationales to senior management.
* Assist with post-tender negotiations and cost review meetings.
**How you'll connect to the role:*** Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
* Significant experience in estimation, with a strong background in either airport or Defence projects.
* Demonstrated proficiency in Expert Genesis estimation software or similar* Thorough understanding of Australian/New Zealand construction standards, codes, and procurement processes.
* Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communicator with proven stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
* High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
