About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Telecommunications Technicians to join our team supporting works on a major LNG facility in Western Australia. This role will suit technicians with experience in industrial telecommunications systems, fibre optic networks and structured cabling, ideally within oil & gas, LNG, mining or large-scale infrastructure projects. You will be joining a high-performing team responsible for installing and supporting critical communications and network infrastructure across a large-scale operating facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation and termination of structured cabling systems (Cat6 / Cat6A)
* Installation, termination and testing of fibre optic cabling
* Installation of telecommunications cabinets, patch panels and network infrastructure
* Installation and support of industrial communication systems including plant networks, CCTV, WiFi and radio systems
* Cable tray and containment installation for telecommunications infrastructure
* Testing, commissioning and fault finding on communication networks
* Reading and interpreting telecommunications drawings, cable schedules and installation plans
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with site safety procedures and project standards
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Telecommunications Technician or Communications Technician
* Experience with fibre optic installation, termination and testing
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Strong understanding of structured cabling and telecommunications systems
* Open Cabler Registration (with Fibre Optic endorsement)
* Certificate III in Telecommunications
* White Card
Highly Desirable
* Previous experience working on LNG, oil & gas or mining projects
* Fibre splicing and testing (OTDR / Fluke) experience
* Experience installing industrial telecommunications systems (CCTV, PA, radio, plant networks)
