About the Role:
This position involves providing expert clinical care and support to patients undergoing radiation oncology treatment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient services.
* Deliver exceptional patient care by ensuring their physical and psychological needs are met.
* Prioritize direct patient interactions including education, wound management, and medication administration.
* Effectively manage patient relationships and facilitate open communication between healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience preferably in oncology nursing.
* Background training in radiation oncology nursing will be provided.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy for patients and carers.
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
