Job Summary
This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced Nuclear Liaison Officer.
About the Role
* Protect sensitive Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information when communicated, transferred, transmitted or disclosed.
* Provide specialist security advice including compartment briefings and communication with stakeholders.
* Conduct and manage Nuclear Security training, network user training and promote a strong security culture.
* Maintain governance documentation, update documents and participate in audits.
* Identify and manage risks, threats and vulnerabilities to people, information and assets.
* Support business continuity and security outreach activities.
* Lead and direct team members and contribute to workforce planning and development.
* Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and assurance requirements across all areas.
* Facilitate briefings and maintain accurate records and documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security disciplines and Defence security policies, experience in compliance, assurance and governance frameworks, and strong written and verbal communication skills. They should be able to work collaboratively and develop cross-functional teams, as well as have a high attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement.
