Commencing in late July, this full time role is ideal for a recent graduate looking for practical training and broad exposure to urban and regional planning projects across Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Gympie.
From day one, you'll be part of a collaborative, team-focused environment, working on everything from small-lot subdivisions to large-scale development proposals. Based in our central Nambour office, you'll be supported by experienced Senior and Principal Planners who are committed to mentoring and helping you grow. Expect hands-on experience, real client interaction, and a clear pathway for genuine career progression.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting senior planners with producing quality reports and written planning advice and correspondence
Preparing and submitting permit applications
Drafting correspondence and planning documentation
Liaising and negotiating with councils and other key stakeholders
Learning fast and confidently contributing ideas and identifying opportunities to add value
You'll need:
A tertiary qualification in Urban & Regional Planning
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A detail-oriented, proactive approach
Sound technical knowledge of Qld planning policy and practice
High collaborative ethos with a 'can do' attitude
A team-first mindset and genuine client focus
Long standing reputation across government and private sectors
