We are seeking an experienced Airborne Geophysical Survey Technician to join our world-class global team.
This is a demanding, rewarding role for a technical expert who thrives in remote field environments and aviation operations.
Your Role
- Install, configure, and operate advanced airborne systems: MobileMT, TargetEM, magnetics, radiometrics, and gravity sensors
- Conduct daily calibrations, diagnostics, and first-line repairs—both in the field and in the hangar
- Troubleshoot sophisticated sensor arrays, data loggers, and system components under tight timelines
- Monitor in-flight data acquisition to ensure survey compliance and data integrity
- Perform preliminary quality control and manage secure geophysical data handling
- Coordinate logistics, including aviation crew liaison and local stakeholder engagement
- Maintain accurate records for operations, safety checks, and equipment performance
Required Skills & Experience
- Direct experience with passive airborne EM systems (e.g., MobileMT, TargetEM)
- 5+ years in airborne geophysical surveys (both helicopter and fixed-wing)
- Degree in Geophysics, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or similar (postgraduate preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot high-sensitivity electronic systems, cryogenic fluids handling, and multi-sensor data platforms
- Advanced computer skills, including geophysical software, GIS, and data workflows
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages (Russian, Mandarin, Spanish, French) are a plus
Additional Requirements
- Valid international driver’s licence and unrestricted passport
- Comfortable with extended international deployments in remote environments
- Strong knowledge of HSE protocols and aviation support operations
- Physically capable of performing technical work under challenging field conditions
